Powell County High School is a Class B school. Deer Lodge is a wonderful community located in Southwestern Montana, in a valley along the Clark Fork River between the Flint Creek Range and the Boulder Mountains. It rests approximately 35 miles north of Butte, 45 miles south of Helena, 80 miles east of Missoula, and 120 miles northwest of Bozeman. Deer Lodge affords our residents some of the best outdoor recreation our beautiful state has to offer. We have a great staff that works together, and really cares about kids. Our school population is approximately 200 students, grades 9-12; and our community consistently supports public education.
