Powell County High School

Attention parents and students, due forecasted extreme cold we will not be running buses tomorrow. We will have our regularly scheduled day and afterschool activities and hope that if possible your child will be in attendance. We do have finals for B blocks and periods 1-3 tomorrow so if your child is unable to attend school, we will give them an additional 2 days to complete those finals. They will need to talk with their teachers and schedule a time that will allow them to complete their finals before 1:30pm on Wednesday January 17th. We have an early out and teacher training for the remainder of the afternoon on January 17th, so it is important that all finals are completed by 1:30pm.

Speech & Debate @ Townsend on Saturday (1/13) is canceled. All Basketball games @ Darby on Saturday (1/13) are POSTPONED until Tuesday, January 30th.

We'd like to send a pep bus for the State Volleyball tournament to support our Lady Wardens! We will have a sign-up sheet in the office on Monday. We will need to have at least 30 kids signed up by Tuesday at noon in order to run the bus. If we don't, the bus will be canceled and all money refunded to the students. Students who sign-up will miss the whole day of school Thursday. We may run a pep bus for Friday as well, please stay tuned for more details on that. Here is what is required to sign-up: 1. Pay the $11 admission fee to the office when you sign-up. 2. Be academically eligible 3. Have an advanced make-up completed by the end of the day Wednesday. Go Wardens!

Hello parents, we have our winter sports meeting next week on November 7 at 6pm in the gym. We will be requiring the use of final forms starting with our winter season, so please login and complete your paper as soon as you are able. You will need to do all paperwork except the physical if you child was in fall sports. We will have some computers set-up at the fall meeting if you need help!
